Can you look back and think of a time when the state of the environment wasn’t a topic on nearly everyone’s lips? It seems to this author, that apart from the pandemic, the environment is the only unrelenting topic we hear about. Whether it’s the Government making promises on net zero emissions, or the greens wanting us to all go vegan, there is always a topic to discuss.

But you know what… we think it should be.

We think we should all be doing what we can to make changes to ensure the longevity of our environment.

Believe it or not, the state of the environment is directly tied to humanity’s own health and well-being. We all depend on clean air and water, on plants, food supplies, and natural resources. If we continue our current path, however, the environment will become unsuitable for human life.

Wow… that got a little heavy.

In all seriousness though, there are some simple steps and products you can invest in today to help sustain our way of living well into the future.

We know, we know, you’re doing your best. And it can get expensive quickly, but as always, we are here to guide you to the most cost effective and efficient solutions for you and your business.

Let us start with our newest line of products, the Trust Recycle Sorting Bins. These bins provide a system of easy sorting for recycling that can be done in any business setting. Not only making your business more efficient but reducing your costs of disposal as your recycling has already been sorted.

And what about chemicals? We all know the risks involved in having chemicals within the workplace. Unfortunately for some businesses they are a necessary product in order to achieve their desired results.

However, installing items such as drain protectors will ensure that those chemicals do not make their way to our waterways. It also enables businesses the ability to dispose of the waste products easily without needing outside assistance.

Of course, having a drain protector is great but what if a hazardous spill were to occur? Do you have your chemical spill kit ready and fully stocked? No? Well then, we can help you out. Our kits come in a variety of sizes, as well as being geared to certain chemicals. Not all chemicals are the same and therefore a spill kit needs to be able to deal with what is on hand.

While we’re here, we thought we’d give you a few other ideas to bring into your workplace that can help with minimizing our environmental impact.

  • Have a nude lunch day. Um… not literally, everyone should remain dressed, but encourage your staff to bring in their lunches free of plastic wrap and packaging.
  • Upgrade your lighting to LED. LED are 75% more energy efficient than incandescent or halogen bulbs and, the best part is, they last 20% longer.
  • Invest in an eco-kettle and get reusable coffee pods.
  • Go paper-free and have your bills, utilities and bank statements delivered online. Plus adopt paper-free for the delivery of your invoices to your customers as well.

This is our moment. We cannot turn back time. But we can make a difference!
